Hunting

Southern Alberta is known as a top waterfowl hunting destination. With irrigation playing a significant role in creating many wetlands and reservoir lakes found in this region of the province,  hunters can expect to bag their quota of waterfowl without a great deal of difficulty. The area is equally known for its population of wild game birds such as Hungarian Partridge, Sharptail Grouse and Ringneck Pheasants.  Also, with southern Alberta being practically treeless, it is a great spot for mule deer hunting from daylight to dark.
