August 26, 2015 2nd Annual Corn Roast--Overwhelming Success
The weather was great and the sweet corn was better at the 2nd annual Calgary Farmers' Market Corn roast hosted by the irrigation farmers of southern Alberta.

"We are bringing the message about the importance of irrigation to Calgarians with a new initiative at the Calgary Farmers' Market," states Erwin Braun, Western Irrigation District (WID) manager and board member of the Alberta Irrigation Projects Association (AIPA). The WID is adjacent to the City of Calgary to the east and is home to many market gardens providing fresh fruits and vegetables to Calgarians.
